Spell Reflection - With your shield at the ready you are able to reflect a spell directly cast at you. Making good use of this wonderful ability is what differentiates the good warriors from the bad.
Execute – Oh yes, it is as good as it sounds. When your target reaches 20% health and lower this ability will become available. It allows you to deal a massive amount of base damage plus additional damage for every point of rage to try and finish your opponent off.
Shattering Throw – This throw allows you to reduce your targets armor by 20% for 10 seconds. On top of this it also removes any invulnerabilities such as the mage’s Iceblock or the paladin’s Divine Shield.

Charge – While out of combat you are able to charge an enemy from range, shortly stunning them as you move to their position.
Intercept – This in combat version of charge allows you to do exactly the same thing only the stun is a whooping 3 seconds.
Intervene – This defensive version of intercept allows you to quickly move to a friendly target, intercepting the next attack made against them and reducing their total threat by 10%.
Recklessness – This berserker stance ability allows you to guarantee your next 3 abilities to critically hit as long as they are made within the next 12 seconds. As long as this is active you take 20% more damage.
Shield Wall – In defensive stance with your shield equipped you are able to reduce all damage taken by 60% for 12 seconds.
Retaliation – For the next 12 seconds all attacks not made from behind will be counterattacked for full weapon damage up to a maximum of 20 attacks.
Intimidating Shout – This ability allows you to fear one target in place, and up to 4 other targets will also be feared, but they will be running around like headless chickens.
Titan’s Grip – This effect was mentioned previously in the fury section. This is the fury talent that allows you to dual wield 2 handed weapons!
Death Wish – For the next 30 seconds all your physical damage is increased by 20%, but you take 5% more damage.
Bladestorm – This ability makes you spin around with your weapon instantly whirlwinding up to 4 targets within range and once more every second for the next 6 seconds. While this is happening you can’t be stopped in any way. This includes stuns, roots, snares and fears.
Whirlwind – Allows you to instantly hit up to 4 targets within rage with both your weapons.
Sweeping Strikes – Your next 5 attacks strike an additional target.
Shockwave – You are able to unleash a shockwave in a cone in front of you, dealing significant damage and stunning all targets hit for 4 seconds.
Concussion Blow – Because Shockwave doesn’t stun long enough, this allows you to stun a single target for 5 seconds.
Devastate – This protection talent deals 120% weapon damage plus bonus damage for every application of sunder armor. On top of this it also applies sunder armor.
Sunder Armor -  Reduces the target’s armor by 4%, stacking up to 5 times. This attack causes a high amount of threat.

Choosing your professions

A typical choice for a warrior is picking mining/blacksmithing. This would allow you to gather your own resources to make your armor and weapons. Usually I don’t like such combinations as it’s usually not worth the time investment. Warriors however are a bit of the oddball out as warrior’s are so gear dependant playing your warrior can vary from unbearable to unstoppable just from a few item upgrades (notably your weapon).
As such another option I like is Mining/Skinning. This allows you to gather skins and ores to sell on the auction house. The money you earn can instantly be used on the auction house to simply buy the gear you want.
Herbalism/Alchemy – Many people don’t consider this a warrior combination because it doesn’t have the right feel. Well I’d say it doesn’t matter. Consider that as a warrior (at least until the higher levels) you have no decent way of keeping your health up in combat. Alchemy allows you to make those vital health potions from the herbs you gathered yourself with herbalism. On top of this you can boost your stats with powerful elixirs to make you as strong as you can be.

The Verdict

The warrior is a very popular class and there’s a good reason for that. Not only do the stance and rage mechanics lead to an interactive playstyle, you are able to watch your character become more powerful from simple gear upgrades. Getting a new weapon would be like changing a level 10 mage to a level 15 mage. A big part of World of Warcraft is improving your character, and with a class like the warrior it is so easy to see yourself become more powerful.
