WoW Jewelcrafting Guide 1-525

This WoW jewelcrafting guide is focused on getting you your jewelcrafting maxed out as quick and cheaply as possible.

Jewelcrafting is known to be an expensive profession, especially because a lot of people like having it on top of the huge demand for the raw materials it requires. Because of this it's a good idea to try to maximise your efforts unless you're swimming in gold.

A good start would be using mining to provide yourself with the resources you need to level. Another option is using disenchanting on the items you create and selling these materials to recuperate some money or even make a profit.

Let's get started.

Leveling Jewelcrafting

As per usual start with finding a city where it is easy to travel between trainer and auctionhouse. Train Apprentice Jewelcrafting and get the necessary tools.

  30 x [Delicate Copper Wire] - 60 Copper Bar

Don't sell them, you will need them

• 30-50
  20 x [Tigerseye Band] - 20 Tigerseye, 20 Delicate Copper Wire
  or
  20 x [Malachite Pendant] - 20 Malachite, 20 Delicate Copper Wire

Rember to learn Journeyman Jewelcrafting

• 50-80 

  50 x [Bronze Setting] - 100 Bronze Bar

Save these for later use.

• 80-100 

  20 x [Gloom Band] - 20 Bronze Setting, 40 Shadowgem, 40 Delicate Copper Wire

• 100-110
  10 x [Ring of Twilight Shadows] - 20 Shadowgem, 20 Bronze Bar

  10 x [Ring of Silver Might] - 20 Silver Bar

  10 x [Heavy Stone Statue] - 80 Heavy Stone

You'll probably need more than 15 and you can stop at 310 if they're expensive and move on to the next step.

Cut any of the following

[Bold Blood Garnet]
[Delicate Blood Garnet]
[Jagged Deep Peridot]
[Reckless Flame Spessarite]
[Purified Shadow Draenite]

• 325-335 

  10 x [Mercurial Adamantite] - 40 Adamantite Powder, 10 Primal Earth

Save these. You may have to make a few random green quality gems if you got unlucky with skill ups.

• 335-340 

Cut any of the following 

[Smooth Golden Draenite]
[Potent Flame Spessarite]
[Rigid Azure Moonstone]
[Sovereign Shadow Draenite] 

• 340 - 350 
  10 x [Heavy Adamantite Ring] - 10 Adamantite Bar, 10 Mercurial Adamantite

These turn yellow at 345, if you don't get all 10 skill ups you'll have to fill it up to 350 with some more random green quality cuts.

• 350 - 395
  You'll need around 60 of the following gems and cut anything you like, you may need more or less depending on your luck as they turnyellow at 375[Bloodstone]
  [Chalcedony]
  [Dark Jade]
  [Huge Citrine]
  [Shadow Crystal]
  [Sun Crystal] 

• 395 - 400

Make any of the following,whatever gem is cheaper on your server.

5 x [Bloodstone Band] - 5 Bloodstone, 10 Crystallized Earth
5 x [Crystal Chalcedony Amulet] - 5 Chalcedony, 10 Crystallized Earth
5 x [Crystal Citrine Necklace] - 5 Huge Citrine, 10 Crystallized Earth
5 x [Sun Rock Ring] - 5 Sun Crystal, 10 Crystallized Earth

• 400 - 420
  23 x [Shadowmight Ring] - 23 Eternal Earth, 23 Eternal Shadow
• 420 - 425 
  5 x [Dream Signet] - 5 Titanium Bar, 5 Dream Shard, 5 Forest Emerald

Remember to learn Illustrious Jewelcrafting

• 425 - 450
  25 x [Jasper Ring] - 25 Jasper, 25 Jeweler's Setting

Get these disenchanted if you can.

• 450 - 475
  25 x [Hessonite Band] - 25 Jeweler's Setting, 50 Hessonite

Get these disenchanted if you can.

• 475 - 525

At this point the best way would be to buy a blue pattern of your choice after 3 days and create those to level, while selling them for a profit at the auctionhouse. You could make:
20 x [Nightstone Choker] - 40 Nightstone, 20 Jeweler's setting
However nightstones I've found, are rather expensive and this is only something to do if you're in a hurry.

Remember that at 500 you can start getting one guaranteed skill up a day all the way to 525 by making a [Fire Prism].

Once you hit 515 blue gem cuts no longer give skill ups and you'll have to start cutting a lot of meta gems, or use your [Fire Prism] to get skill ups.
