World of Warcraft Leveling Tips
If you’re interested in leveling just that extra bit faster you’ve come to the right place. Although there are definitely more tips to be had on leveling these are the ones I’ve found to be very significant as I got my characters to level 85 (and I have nearly every class at 85).
If you’re looking for a comprehensive leveling guide I suggest you take a look here:

Here you will find guides to everything you need to level quickly. From quest guides, to talent guides and beginner guides it has all you need.
Anyway, let’s get back to my tips to turn you into that little power leveler!
1. Make good use of your rested experience!
Whenever you’re not playing a certain character in World of Warcraft that character will gain “Rested Experience” which gives you double experience from killing monsters in combat.
A good way to put this system to good use is to have a secondary character so you can move between the two to and be playing with rested experience as much as possible.
2. Don’t do instances when you’re leveling!
As fun as it may be to come into that new area with your group of adventurers, usually it’ll be very slow as people don’t really know what they’re doing or where to go. An exception to this rule, for you fortunate explorers, is that with the new dungeon tool you can easily get into dungeon groups while you’re doing your normal questing routes. Because of this you could do instances as long as you pick up ALL the quests for that instance. Usually this will make up for even the worst of groups. Beyond that I would steer well clear of instances.
3. Understand your quest log.
Quests in your quest log will appear either in grey, green, yellow and red. In that order it scales from trivial (grey, the quest is for a much lower level than you) to red (very tough to impossible, you need a few more levels before attempting it). Grey quests involve killing monsters that generally won’t give experience anymore. Because of this it’s a big time sink as your experience will be reduced significantly. Because of this you should focus on green quests before they go grey to maximize the amount of quests you do. This is unless you find yourself having too many quests to do. In that scenario you should stick to the yellow quests as much as possible as they will not be too hard to do while still giving maximum experience.
4. Multi Tasking
This is most likely the most overlooked aspect of efficient questing. Whenever you get to a new quest hub (city, outpost etc.) simply pick up every quest you see while quickly looking what you have to do for each quest. Then as you prepare to leave the quest hub to start completing the quests simply plan out the most efficient route to do as many quests as possible.
Not only will this save you a lot of time mindlessly running around, once you return to the outpost to turn in your stack of quests you’ll notice a big jump in experience which is always motivating!
Since you’re going on longer journeys make sure you clear your inventory of junk and repair your gear every time you turn in your quests, nothing is more annoying than being halfway on your planned quest track just to find your inventory full or your sword broken.
I hope these World of Warcraft leveling tips will help smoothen your leveling experience. If you’re looking for a more comprehensive leveling guide I suggest you take a look here:
