Because of this choosing the best warrior professions is vital for an enjoyable gameplay. You may have to spend some more time leveling your professions than other classes, but it’ll more than make up for it in the saved misery and increased questing speed. Let’s have a look at our options:

Mining/Blacksmithing
This classic combination never fails for a warrior. Being able to mine your own ores to level up your blacksmithing, allowing you to create your own weapons and armor is very powerful. Starting a warrior it can be very hard to find the money to keep your gear up to date and this self-sufficient approach goes a long way in keeping you going strong. On top of this you can use mining to make some extra money, while blacksmithing will also give you access to powerful epic items at the higher levels. On top of this you can always get rid of mining at level 80 in favor of a more raid focused profession.

Skinning/Mining
The other approach to keeping your gear up to date as a warrior is simply making sure you have enough money to buy to your heart’s content from the auction house. The way to achieve this? Pick up mining and skinning! The resources from these professions both sell well on the auction house. Especially skinning won’t cost much more extra time as it’s just a few seconds on beast mobs. It’ll easily give you the necessary funds to keep your gear up to date giving you a more enjoyable experience in general. Then once you hit level 80 you could easily transition into the raiding professions using these two to either build up more money, or use mining to stack up on ores to leveling professions such as jewelcrafting and blacksmithing.

Alchemy
Often combined with herbalism for plentiful herbs, alchemy is a rarely seen choice on warriors, even though it is rather powerful. Warriors lack ways to heal themselves in clutch situations, especially at the lower levels. Alchemy will allow you to make more than enough health potions for when you’re in need of some extra health. On top of this you’ll be able to make powerful elixirs to boost your stats, giving you that extra advantage in combat.

Jewelcrafting
This profession is very expensive to level and as such is recommended to either be combined with mining, or used by those with plentiful amounts of gold. What it does provide you with is ample jewellery while leveling. It’s very hard to find any quests rewarding jewellery and trinkets and that’s where jewelcrafting is very powerful in the leveling process. On top of this you’ll be able to make gems at higher levels which are in high demand as every player needs them.

The warrior gets plenty of choices for professions. The main focus of this choice should be what you need the most, be it gear, gold or survivability. Just remember that professions like skinning and mining aren’t very appreciated when raiding so be preprared to relevel something else at higher levels.
